Open-Meteo integration

Harmattan uses the Open-Meteo Forecast API.

Current weather fields

The main application requests current values including:

The request also uses timezone=auto and forecast_days=6.

Failure handling

The application checks response.ok and treats a non-success HTTP response as a weather-service failure rather than as valid data.

API key

No API key is used by the current integration. There is therefore no weather-service secret embedded in the browser code.

Because the request is client-side, successful operation still depends on network connectivity, Open-Meteo availability, and the service continuing to permit browser requests from the deployed origin.
