Deployment

The Solidity source uses:

solidity
pragma solidity ^0.8.0;

A deployment therefore requires a compatible Solidity 0.8.x compiler.

The repository does not currently pin one exact compiler version in the Solidity source. For reproducible production deployments, pinning an exact compiler version is preferable.

Constructor

solidity
constructor(uint256 _feeBps, address _platformWallet)
ParameterTypeDescription
_feeBpsuint256Platform fee in basis points. Maximum: 1000.
_platformWalletaddressAddress that accrues platform fees. Cannot be zero.

For a 2.5% platform fee:

text
_feeBps = 250

Constructor failures

  • FeeTooHigh() when _feeBps > 1000;
  • ZeroAddress() when _platformWallet == address(0).

Remix deployment

  1. Open or import contracts/Escrow.sol in Remix.
  2. Compile with a compatible Solidity 0.8.x compiler.
  3. Open Deploy & Run Transactions.
  4. Select EscrowContract.
  5. Enter _feeBps and _platformWallet.
  6. Choose the target environment.
  7. Deploy.
  8. Record the contract address and network.

Before mainnet

A successful compilation is not equivalent to security assurance. Before production use, it is imperative to add automated tests, review ERC-20 edge cases, harden token transfers, address lifecycle deadlocks, and obtain an independent security review.

Documentation grounded in the current ERC-20 escrow implementation.
